On The Border Mexican Grill Cantina Highlands Ranch

Was a late lunch so not alot of folks an the server's were on top of everything for all! Good music and the menu had so many choices I was blown away, this was my first time to try On The Border. My food came fast, hot an more than I could eat. Think I've found me a new fav Mexican Grill! 5 star's!

We went today to celebrate our granddaughters return to college. I hadn't been in a while. Our server was William. I was in the restaurant business for 50 years, and I would say he was one of the best servers we have ever had anywhere. What a great knowledge of the menu. He gave us so many options. We all had the lunch specials. They were all outstanding. William really made our experience 5 stars. Thank you On The Border and special thanks to William

Ordered the new Chipotle chicken fajitas. Menu shows enough chicken for two and comes with two side plates. Actually it comes with about half the meat shown. Very misleading. Gave it a second chance. Order came out backwards. Appetizers came out after the main course. Only response was sorry.

Hit or miss. We ordered Tacos Al Pastor and they served it not only with shredded instead of grilled pork but also with no pineapple and salsa. They told us upon serving the dish that they don’t have all the ingredients to prepare Al Pastor. Why would they not warn us when we were ordering it? We asked for replacement and ordered a steak burrito but instead got one with ground beef. I don’t know if they have new, inexperienced staff or they just don’t care anymore but after all these years it’s time to look for a new Mexican restaurant. I don’t think we will be back.

The outside seating area was busy, but very fresh on the afternoon. the girl who participated in our table was very hard and efficient. our order comes fast, the birria tacos were served with a small juice broth on the side and the avocado and the huge chips were amazing. I'll come back when I'm in highlands. I just ordered tacos so I recommend these 4sures.
