Bidrage med feedbackWe made a reservation and we were glad we did because the nice weather had attracted a lot of people! We tried the soup of the day and some special fries. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. We even purchased a bottle of their own Glenfinnan Gin. It was a fantastic experience!
I have been a regular at this restaurant for a long time and have always loved it. Unfortunately, they recently made some changes by removing seating and altering the menu, which I believe has taken away some of its charm. I preferred the previous soup and sandwich deal that they no longer offer. Additionally, the coffee was cold and when I complained, I was told it was as hot as it was going to get. I am disappointed with these changes and will not be returning.
The restaurant was too expensive for what it offered. The open sandwich only had one slice of bread, and while the food was of high quality, my husband's coffee was served cold. When he brought this up to the waitress, she offered to replace it, but another server rudely interjected, claiming that it was as hot as it gets.
On a very wet day, I was driving through the area from the Cairngorms to Mallaig to get a delayed ferry, so I'd planned to stop somewhere on the way. I was going to stop at the Glenfinnan Monument itself, but carried on and stopped here instead. It was a Tuesday lunchtime, but it was busy. However, there was a space for me to sit and grab a cuppa and some cake. Very friendly, great cake
This would have easily got 5 if the staff didn’t roll their eyes at me whilst taking an order. Quaint, different and busy. The carrot cake we all had were tasty and moist. Lucky to get a table on a busy/rainy day.
