Visit to STL must always include dinner at an Italian restaurant. Pasta House Co. was our choice tonight. We showed up about 40 min before closing which we do not like doing. To enjoy Italian one needs no less than an hour. Upon entering we were greated by a wonderful hostess to seat us. Our server, Paige was very good, funny and helpful. Her suggestions of Rigatoni Carbonara Eggplant Parmesion, Fresh Backed Ravioli, with Cesar salad was amazing. Very pleased with the entire visit. The staff were very patient and professional to accommodate us arriving so close to closing time. There are many Italian restaurants in STL and we visit a new one each time. This place you can't go wrong. I would return for the service alone. The hostess, server and chef for our Tuesday late meal made this review easy. Thank you Pasta House. I love The Pasta House Co. so much (I have so many wonderful memories of it from being a kid), but unfortunately this last visit today for lunch I made was disappointing. The garlic cheese bread came out on burnt sesame seed bread when it’s supposed to be Italian bread, the cheese on my pizza was freezer burnt or tasted that way at least, and all of my food came out at the exact same time. The waitress was brand new to the job and thus was very nervous, she was sweet, but apologized a lot. There seemed to be total disconnect between the kitchen and the service staff. I’ve had dinner here before (and even lunch); it used to be fantastic. I really hope my next visit is better. I was very disappointed considering I went 25 miles out of my way to eat here during a rare visit I made to STL today.
