Spice Diner - Hicksville

The restaurant experience was extremely unprofessional and unethical. Two girls were standing next to the register, seemingly only concerned with earning a good rating. We ordered desi kitchen for the adults and zinger burgers and other items for the children. The starters arrived promptly after 15 minutes, but the main course was significantly delayed without any explanation. After finishing our meal, we inquired about our burgers and were told they were not available. The children were disappointed and ended up only having a few fries. We were then informed of an 18% courtesy fee, costing us around $25. When it came time to pay, we were told the card machine was not working and had to pay in cash. Luckily, we had cash on hand, but it would have been helpful to receive prior notice about the payment situation.

I was very disappointed with the excessive amount of garlic and salt in all of the dishes, as they all seemed to have the same taste. The Chinese cuisine definitely needs improvement. Overall, it was not a good experience.

There is a dame over the cash that it is very rude. u know, indians known, very dil wale as (jee aya nu) but from the beginning we ask her soda cold water ice bcoz we want to start with peg”uerin know indians” we asked 3 times then they come with salat wobbles and chutney (mint sauce,) but again we asked her about ice and when we asked her rache was like one of one and then restaurant I feel so angry for him, but yes, this lady is mean. I'm sorry I don't know her name, but yes, she's mean. she doesn't know how to judge people. So you are aware, young.

We have eaten there for birthday. eating was okay until we saw the cockroaches. we almost finished our eating, then we saw that a cockroach has run under the table. we have said this to the owner, but she is acting as it is in order to have a cockroach. She told me it was coming from outside. so rough, never again. nasty place.

I order from them regularly and also dine there once a week. The food is amazing! Their food is fresh and the owners are always welcoming. They have indo Chinese food too which hits home and I ordered chilli garlic rice and chilli chicken today! Couldn’t wait to take the picture and ate some first! It’s authentic Indian and Pakistani food, tastes like 5 star!!!
