We were visiting from Virginia Beach and found this gem of a restaurant. The food was amazing! Great home cooked food. The service was out of this world. The cabbage, the Mac and cheese and fried smothered pork chops were the best. Make sure you stop and eat here. You will not regret it. I would give it a 10 stars if I could. An interesting little place! Felt like a homemade, southern and quintessential Hertford experience. The staff couldn’t have been nicer, we really enjoyed them. It’s a very small establishment, and it was busy the whole time we were there. I am really hoping the owners can see the need for a place like this in downtown Hertford and expand the seating! Service was a little slow but we were okay with that, as we were wanting to enjoy a long lunch out. I enjoyed the food, especially for the super reasonable prices!
