Marlow's Authentic Italian - Herrin

Where do I start?! The owner welcomed us and got our drinks while our server was busy with another table. Everything is fresh and homemade! the bread with its garlic butter is mouthwater. I had her lasagna I was skeptical because everywhere else, the part is small and the price is annoying, but at Marlows, wow! I took half when it went home because it was such a huge plate! And absolutely full of taste, strata and cheese! Hubby had pasta with her meat sauce and you can smell the wonderful tomatoes and paprika in the sauce. Huge meatballs and meatloads! definitely come back to taste their pizza and ravioli!

The service was great, the pizza was delicious. Must definitely try the anchovies and the Philly cheesecake pizza. You also have a limited Sunday card.

I ordered the meatball Sub. It was amazing! It was on a homemade roasted bungalow. The sauce and meatballs were spectacular. Great service, great atmosphere!

This restaurant has 2 floors. The ground floor is where we ate because there is no elevator. The floor has a bar and about 10 tables. They were very busy, but we didn't see anyone going up. It looked like 20 plus stairs. The food was good. This restaurant has a bar near the tables. I would have enjoyed it more if we were able to go upstairs to the dining room. There were 2 or 3 tables with families. My only handle was the salad in a sea by refrigerator without lid on the bowls. My salad had a rotten salad in it. Except that everything was good

Nice authentic Italian restaurant in southern Illinois. My dish of seafood manicotti was excellent. My Girlfriend's oder of simple sauce and noodle was a little bland. It definitely gave me the opportunity to razz here about getting the better meal. I'll be back for their signature pizzas.
