The Lough Pool Bar And Restaurant

I greatly enjoyed a birthday lunch at the Loughpool with my husband and son. The food was interesting and excellent and the service was really efficient and friendly. Everything was just right and we left determined to return before too long.

The food and atmosphere at this restaurant were fantastic; it was the perfect spot for a long, memorable lunch catching up with old friends. The location was lovely as well.

I visited Loughpool in September 2022 and had a wonderful experience. Despite being unable to post a review on TripAdvisor due to their policy, I feel compelled to share my positive experience. My girlfriend arranged a birthday getaway in Gloucestershire, and we were in search of a highly recommended Sunday lunch spot. After a few failed reservations, we stumbled upon Loughpool online and decided to give it a try. The moment we arrived at the charming pub, we were greeted warmly by the staff and promptly seated. The ambiance was romantic, with light and airy surroundings that added to the overall experience. I ordered the pea and wild garlic soup for a starter, which was exceptional. The roast beef main course was cooked to perfection and accompanied by delicious sides. Unfortunately, we had to rush off to other birthday plans in Gloucester, but I would have loved to stay longer at Loughpool. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming. It was a memorable visit that I regret not reviewing sooner. My sincerest apologies to Loughpool for the delayed feedback.

I had a fantastic lunch at this restaurant, stumbling upon it by chance. I believe they should be prompting customers to leave reviews on Tripadvisor to increase their visibility. Everything is made in-house, including the delicious bread. The food is truly outstanding.
