Pop's Country Cafe - Hemet

My husband and I have been eating here for about 10 years. It was once great and one of our favorite places. We put it through some of their rough days and cooking change. Actually, we're not gonna eat here anymore. The food quality has just gone so far. And I'm not sure who cooked there lately, but she didn't? Or just not the attention to the food they put out. The crowd of times? ve forgotten food with our orders is also ridiculous. My husband ordered the pop blockbuster Omelette, and there was a bunch of water on the ground. For some reason it tastes like taco season. Can?t even taste the severity or one of the other ingredients inside. All 8 pieces of toast were insensitive and rock-hard. It's like the bread is old and they roasted it and still served it. My inside grilled cheese was not roasted before adding the cheese, so it was just soggy and greasy. There was little meat in there. I've never felt like food from here. I could just pick it up and barely press it and so much fat comes out of everything. Again, the old bread taste, and probably also dirty grill. A shame you have to pay $80 for a whole meal for your family and that? Go to a drive instead.

The big reviews are what made us do, but it was a disappointing visit. For beginners I watched the server pick up a straw from the ground and put it back into their apron without gloves. The chicken fried steak is not like traditional; it is just a piece over boiled steak with engraving (no bread) the hashbrowns were soggy and salty. The ham steak is not worth the money. The agitator is casual. I'll say the cookies and the severity were pretty good, the cookies are fluffy and the severity is on the mind side. Overall, I don't think we'll ever go back.

Get on the wall with enthusiastic service and wonderful hearty breakfast and lunch. When we cried outside of seats, when we had dogs with us, they said they would set it up for us and they did it!

If you are looking for a home feeling kinda meal with huge portions you are in the right place. The breakfast portions are huge and so is the lunch. In the picture is the stuffed grilled cheese reverse and let?s just say you will not be disappointed. If you love the cheese this is the meal for you. The fries get season salt instead of regular salt so the change up is great! Sit and enjoy a huge meal and walk out feeling like you just left a family member?s house after the holidays.
