Nettles - Helston

Chips weren’t cooked and raw. Soggy and lacking in any real flavour. Very disappointing far better chip shops in the surrounding area.

Had fish and chips here a few nights ago, very nice. Noted the opening times, 5pm to 7pm on a Sunday. It says so on the website, on the door and on the sign at the top of the street. Decided to have fish and chips for dinner on Sunday evening. Arrived at 6:30 to the lights being switched off and a locked door. There was a member of staff at the counter who said “we’re closed” I replied “ you say you’re open until 7. “Not tonight” came the reply. Clearly their published opening times can not be relied upon. Very poor!

Great service and great food. Very consistant also. Have eaten here regularly lately and definitely the best takeaway around cannot fault it.

Some of the best fish and chips we have ever had. Although I nearly gave up trying to find somewhere to park, very narrow twisty road with cars parked everywhere, but after three circuits of the roads I parked and walked back, well worth it in the end, would highly recommend

We always order from Nettles, the best fish and chips by far reasonable prices, very friendly and excellent service and quality
