The Troll Tavern - Helen

If you stay in Helen and wish the entire Oktoberfest experience, I definitely propose to stop into the Troll Tavern. If it is warm enough, you can sit outside, where you can take the noise and view of a river just feet away. When it's too cold, the interior always has an entertaining atmosphere in the bar area with large screens that are perfect for watching football in autumn. The food is basic food, but they have a small selection of authentic German dishes (including bratwurst and sauerkraut) that satisfy your German taste buds. The service is fair. You usually have to hunt someone down to get space when you go first, but I think the servers are usually locals, the big suggestions in other places to try out around the city. Make sure you go to ask for their beer specialties, because every time I've been there, they had at least one really good deal!
