Goldener Stern - Heidelberg

In the past we loved this place for lamb. this time the lamb, all 3 of us ordered, it was hard and overcooked. we will not come back

I had lamb with cheese, my wife the roasted one and we were not disappointed. The salad was also great. Pair it with a glass of red wine and ouzo after the meal and you have a recipe for great dinner. One comment though: we...came there around 17:30 and were told that we have to leave at 19:30, since the table was booked. So you'd rather make reservation, if you want to eat there.

I used to go to this restaurant when I was a student in Heidelberg in the 80s and was surprised that it was still there. So I tried it and the food is still very nice. Good no frills Greek Restaurant at very reasonable prizes....What amazed me the most is that there was only one person handling the entire restaurant and the bar and nobody had to wait. Well done.

Absolutely one of my favorite restaurants in Germany! They are great platters are outstanding, you get to taste a little bit of all of the dishes. Easily...

I highly recommend the Mixspieß in the Golden Star! The name does not suggest that it is a Greek restaurant but what is behind it can be seen quite well. As I said, I usually order a mixed spear or another mixed dish. The mix is pork, Cevapcici and Pommes. Of course, a dip and a small salad that is not even so small! All then for not even 9 €. With a drink you get well for 12€. The quality fits and the service can also be seen. I haven't been waiting for my food for a long time. But you must like the ambience. Even at the furnishings it is not possible to close to a Greek restaurant. Rather good bourgeois with lots of wood, more like a German restaurant.
