China Buffet - HAZLET

The evaluation is based on the service my wife received this day, as the food is not bad.

My family and I have been going to the China Buffet in Hazlet since their opening. It was half the size at that time and then they took over the store next to them. I never had problems, and the food was always good. We go there once a week and have for a very long time, but tonight I was told by the woman in Pink who leads the food out of the kitchen, no no, no, no, no, no, no, when I asked her what she meant, she pointed to my dishes of damped shells 14 overall, for me and my husband, and continued to say one, two! One. I waited 20 minutes for them to come out and then only 14 with a pretty busy dining room! I was upset when she told me that when I left and her people stood next to me. My usual dinner is made with mussels and a piece of fish. This is my once weekly treatment. I usually have fruit and my husband will have dessert. We always leave the waitress 20% tip as they are always friendly to us and they deserve it. Tonight we'll eat there the last time! There will be no more groups of us and our friends that we take it at least once a month 8 of us overall. I've never been treated in any restaurant like a buffet. If you don't want people to eat a particular dish, don't serve it! And if you serve it, it's enough to feed more than 2 people! Very disappointed! I drove 40 minutes to eat her food so that it should explain a lot. Many places need an upgrade, but others than the food is great family loves it.

The food was good for me. The place was clean. The service was polite. Another review said it was just 2 rows of hot food. I'm pretty sure there are actually 3 if I remember correctly. And a series of desserts. There was a section for American food and some seafood options, including sushi. Lunch was $12,50. The Hibachi guy isn't here for lunch.

Good food, sometimes cold, but for a reasonable price I can see that. No complaints. And sushi is good too.
