Ghazni Afghan Kabobs - Hayward

My book club met for dinner. the food was wonderful and beautifully presented. the owner was present and his love for his restaurant and his traditions was obvious. when we ate, the restaurant was very crowded and the server were lined. Maybe someone called sick. they never know what's going on behind the scenes, but I remember thinking an additional server would have been perfect for them. the evening was a Jewel.

Once again I appreciate yelp google (always cross check! for me to find another fantastic restaurant that I may have never found before. ghazni is the best Afghan kabobs in this area, hands down. we tried the combo plate and the lamb so we were able to taste a little of everything. the chicken, the meat, chapli all were extremely tasteful and delicate. the lamb was also full of taste and very delicate. the meat cuts and the preparation were perfection. the parts were enough to take rest after home. we would have planned before our departure. the only negatiw at this place was the long waiting period for our eating after our order. service is bad, like a family that doesn't really want it. Luckily, they kept the warm brot coming and the food was so delicious when it arrived that it negated a star for them.

This restaurant is a fantastic spot for a casual meal. The outdoor seating area is cozy and inviting, although not particularly fancy. However, the food is delicious and the flavors truly shine. The prices are affordable and definitely worth it. I highly recommend giving this place a try!

I ordered the Qabuli Pulau, which is rice over lamb. It was good, not the best Qabuli Pulau I had! There were a few pieces of rice that shouldn't be! The Bolani was also good, even if there were some black burned pieces. We sat outside, because of a strong smell of some kind of cleaning product, I guess. The service was primarily only for ordering and delivery and billing, and not for what we need. It is a decent place with good food and I will go again!

Delicious Afghan cuisine with a small medium outdoor terrace. the kitchen was a little slow, but it was worth waiting. especially we enjoyed the bolani appetizers.
