Bidrage med feedbackThis cafe is very basic in appearance, more like a diner than a restaurant. The food was decent, but the menu had limited options. Despite the wait for our meal, we ordered a large portion of roasted rice for $15 to go with it. Unfortunately, the portion size was much smaller than expected. The previous night, we had ordered a similar dish for only $2 more and it was much larger. Our bill for two main dishes, one rice, two small beers, and one small bottle of apple wine came to $107. The bill was difficult to understand, but it seemed to include a 2% fee for using a Mastercard. When asked about adding a tip, we declined. We recommend trying Holy Basil instead, where we paid only $90 for better food and drinks.
While it could look a little down and low key compared to some of the larger brash places, we decided to him a hot tub. We were thrilled. Friendly employees have made us very welcome, not fought for our need for forks and...we feel well chosen. We ordered prawn toast, maybe a little overdone but tasty yet, beef with ginger and beef cakes was delicious and a large portion. Lemon crispy chicken was again a large part and coated in a honey and lemon glaze. Both sauces were enough to cost instead of drowning so perfect for our preference. Price appropriately with starters, 2 nets, 2 rice and 2 drinks come at 96 Dollers. Main thing about 27-31.
I visited this restaurant before and thought it was okay. Today I asked about an omelet that was told 'too long', they were not busy, so I asked about a chicken stall. It's really terrible. Dry, very small amount of chicken, no vegetables or sauce. Absolutely terrible and so disappointing. It makes me sad because they were my favorite.
The service at this restaurant was very disrespectful, with a waiter (possibly the owner) openly arguing with customers. The food was also of poor quality and overpriced. I would recommend looking for a different Chinese restaurant in another part of Chinatown.
This place was good along time ago but they have dropped the ball. Their food is ridiculously overpriced and very average quality at best. We recently dined there for dinner and every dish came out barely warm and terribly dry. A lack of staff on...a Saturday night (2 x wait staff) didn't help their level of service although they were polite. I would recommend the Sussex Centre food court across the street. Lots more choices, freshly cooked meals (and hot) at a fraction of the price. You don't need to spend a lot of money for a nice Chinese meal.
