East Ocean - Haymarket

Such an amazing place for halal Chinese food. Their crispy chicken is out of this world. We tried General tso chicken today as well, and it's just awesome. This place serves fresh food, and the serving size is too good to be true! Would definitely recommend this to everyone.

Leaving 5 stars because of location and the fact they are zabhia halal. I?m happy more halal businesses are moving into the area. Food is rated 4 star max, there is plenty of room for improvement. My chicken lo mein is on the bland side, it could definitely use some color( see picture), a small portion of veggies would have elevated this. My standard for great halal Chinese is ?New Dynasty? on P st in DC, a must try if your have never been.

I recently had my rehearsal dinner at East Ocean Restaurant because I wanted to have a very relaxed atmosphere where everyone could enjoy themselves. The owner and staff here were so incredibly friendly and allowed me to have our private event (around 20 people) on an evening without charging an additional fee. They even asked if it would be ok to still have people stop in for To-Go orders and I said of course ? I just wanted to make sure we had the space. The woman, who Ibelieve is the manager, called the week before to go over all the details and ask how I wanted the space set-up. The whole process was easy to coordinate and everyone had a fantastic time that evening!
