Grizedale Cafe - Hawkshead

A beautiful place to go for long walks and enjoy the nature and the rest. the visitor center and the facilities are well run and everything is clean and well maintained. highly recommended!

Great day out for the kids. Gruffalo trail went down a treat and the forest was beautiful to walk through. Practically it was an easy place to go with kids easy parking, short walk to the visitor centre, picnic tables and playground. Cheap day out too only £8 parking charge for the whole day.

Absolute magical place with lots to do for the kids. Small kids can be accommodated with the play park and a small walk or you could take Brian Blessed on a mountainous adventure, both would be satisfied.

Beautiful forest full of beautiful sculptures (some of them interactive), very attentive and helpful lady! The map is worth every penny yet the parking seems a bit expensive to me, I like the pay when leave system. The paths are very clearly indicated, and very easy hikes for children or elders. Any season will do! Some of the sculptures were partly broken, hope they are fixing them soon. I absolutely recommend to visit if you 're planning a trip to the Lake District!

Fantastic café! Recently taken over by Cafe Ambio, it offers delicious breakfast options, Sunday dinners, as well as delightful cakes and ice cream. It’s an excellent spot that everyone should visit!
