Bella's Tea Room - Havre de Grace

I came here for a wedding shower. The space inside is pretty small, there's one front room with a couple tables and another back room that's slightly bigger. The table settings and decorations are very whimsical, going for a more mismatched style withfloral wallpaper and paintings. There's some steeet parking out front and also parking lot near American legion that you canquickly walk from so it's not too terrible for the downtown area. The food itself was the most mediocre part. The tea was tea,the desserts tasted prepackaged that they arranged, and the sandwiches were cucumber, ham, eggs, and chicken salad I think, butit tasted like a plain sandwich. It's an okay place if you're looking for something quaint and small. If you're looking for amore lavish/fancy tea house style, or good tea food, I would suggest going elsewhere.

Food was delicious and enough to take some home. Broccoli cheese soup (obviously homemade) was a hit even with kids. Scones fresh from the oven were large and very good. Desserts were exceptional. Very cute decor, too.

Such a lovely time. Everything came out perfectly and in a timely manner. Erika was attentive and kind. She made our first time experience worth the hour and a half drive.

Large portion sizes were great, and staff is very friendly. Service was extremely slow. a $4 charge for dietary restrictions (vegetarian, gluten free, etc. is extremely steep compared to other tea places in the county. For two people with dietary restrictions and high tea, it was about $60. Our food was also decided for us? We sat down and the lady told us we were getting high tea, without even us seeing the menu, and we didn’t get to choose a soup or salad, we were just given salads. There is a surprisingly small tea menu.

Had our daughter’s fifth birthday here. We had mixed results. Overall, I don’t think it’s worth the cost.Room was easy to reserve. However they waited until mid party to get details about food. We showed up about ten minutes early, but they asked us to leave until ten after, as they weren’t ready. Yet they didn’t hesitate to ask us to leave right at 5pm, despite the late start.The food was very good, and we greatly enjoyed the tea. Food came out much later than expected. They helped us package the leftovers which was nice. The workers were patient and helpful.I gave three stars because the cost is way too high for the short time and small amount of food.
