Bidrage med feedbackAlways wanted to stop into the Landing Zone, today we did for a late lunch. We ordered the Smokey BBQ Rib wings for our app, my wife had a Shrimp Po Boy sandwich, and I went with a Fried catfish sandwich. Wings were decent. The plate of wings came with watermelon, pears and cucumbers a nice change from celery sticks. Sandwiches had copious amounts of fresh produce, the bread was also fresh tasty. Overall, we enjoyed our meals. The decor of the Landing Zone is unique, a definite dive, but it has a very extensive menu. We do intend to come back for salads some time soon, because the veggies are so fresh here. Owner staff are very friendly. Cajun Joe (the owner) is a real character, a very likable guy. As other Yelpers have reported, they do not accept CC's. I used the ATM inside and had to pay a $3.50 fee for the transaction (and then my bank charged me another $2.50 because it wasn't one of their ATM's). Was not informed before ordering that the Landing Zone does not accept cc's, so I have to admit, I was a bit irked.
This restaurant is completely closed. It no longer exists. It went out of business at least a few years ago.
Super, super casual, with a wonderfully creative, diverse menu and local (like grown right there! ingredients. The food is artfully and lovingly prepared and presented by the owners themselves. We really enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back. Please note that the restaurant is cash only, but they do have an ATM on site.
Delicious and a real casual small town gem. The menu is a wonderful extensive unique creation and I'd love to try it all! We had the pineapple wings, flash fried artichoke and alligator tenders. All delicious and amazing. The pineapple wings were my favorite and I love the fact that the chef makes all the sauces himself. I loved looking all the awesome stuff on the walls. Stop here and you will really enjoy the food, atmosphere and people!
Ya know lighten up haters for what this place is, it is as good as it gets. consider it a mashup of everything good about DinersDriveinDives. Great food, diverse menu, fair prices, good beer menu, attentive service, good ambiance it 's a go to spot when i need a not too far 2 wheel destination with lunch on the other end. Burgers killer, soups killer, etc etc the only thing that stopped me for a meh was the fried pickles they were salty as hell... but i forced myself to eat them...
