Feng Chophouse (asylum St) - Hartford

I went to this restaurant for my wife's birthday, but the manager never greeted us, even though I saw him greeting other customers. I'm not sure if it was a race issue or if children are not allowed. However, the food was delicious. They required a 20% tip, which came out to about 65 USD. Can you confirm that there was no racial issue with the night manager? If I were the manager, I would make sure to acknowledge all customers, unless you are the owner. I spent 400 USD and would be willing to do so again, but I want to know if this is a common occurrence. Thank you.

I was able to book a last-minute birthday celebration with my family at this restaurant. The ambiance was very welcoming and the server was friendly. The food was absolutely delicious. We tried various types of sushi, NY steak, lamb rack, lobster tail, and meatballs with fried rice for the kids. The portions were generous and seasoned perfectly. However, I found the prices to be on the higher side compared to other places. Additionally, gratuity is automatically added to your bill at 20%, which I believe is unfair. Customers should have the option to tip based on their level of satisfaction with the service received.

Excellent service, fabulous eating! my niece I had some oysters, mistkerle, shisipoteffer, caesar salat, wagyu burger, chiefsashimi sampler. everything was delicious. we sat on the back, on a round table with a demilune bench seat. matthew was our waiter; super attentive. ditto for busboy. highly recommended; for everyone!

We came here to celebrate my man's birthday and could not have been happier with the food and drink. he got the wagyu ny strip and I got the dry ny strip, both of our steaks were cooked to perfection. the garlic was melted in its mouth delicious. can not wait to come back to sashimi.
