Mama Doreen's Emporium - Harrogate

As this is such a new venue in York it doesn't have any reviews yet. My friend took me for lunch here and it was wonderful. The food, service and surroundings are brilliant. The cakes look amazing but we had no room for one. We had the platter which is a mix of savoury food. Mine was slightly different as I don't eat smoked salmon or ham. Not over the top prices and we will definitely go background for cakes.

Really great place , with lovely staff and great food ! We had the afternoon tea for two and it was the best scone i’ve had in a while. Our waitress, Lucy, was attentive and polite and we felt well looked after and all the staff members were extremely friendly : We will definitely be back !!

We visited for afternoon tea and it was absolutely packed, but despite this the service was efficient and the staff were friendly and attentive. It is one of the most unique afternoon teas that I have had, and was particularly impressed by the savoury selection. Would definitely like to visit again.

I went with a group of friends for afternoon tea and to say we were impressed is an understatement. We couldn't believe how delicious each morsel of food was, both savoury and sweet. The caramelised onion quiche was a big favourite and for me the carrot cake was outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble, the staff were so helpful. We were grateful we could take away all the fabulous items we couldn't quite manage. Hopefully when any of us are in Harrogate (or York) we can visit again.
