New York Deli Harlingen

I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich thinking it would be close to what Starbucks sells and I was highly disappointed. It was just a slice of yellow cheese on two regular breads. It was not even melted all the way. It was 8.82!!!!

I was really excited about this place. But unfortunately it was a huge miss. I ordered a sweet tea that was tasteless, which I can overlook if the food is good. I ordered a special which is 14 dollars....not including a drink. What I was served looked like a brown bag lunch we used to get on school trips. Regular wheat bread with what I soon found out was warm tasteless chicken salad. Not even a dressy lettuce leaf. And a small bag of Lays. My Waitress never came back to refill my tea. I had to get up. And as I could've guessed, the warm chicken salad gave me digestive upset.

This is the best place for any type of deli. The service is always on point. All the New York deli spots in the valley have been closing down. Please always maintain this Gem! I hope it never goes out of business!

Best Place ? 10/10…. Small family business that deserves recognition

I got the chef’s salad and it was mammoth and delicious. Topped with their homemade Russian dressing and you can’t go wrong. The raspberry iced tea is another winner. Really great spot in Downtown Harlingen!
