Papas Cafe - Harker Heights

My family has been here for 10 years and they have never failed to deliver delicious food. Your Blue Plate Special is one of my favorite besides classic bacon and eggs breakfast they serve.

I love coming to this little dinner like place. It feels like your home when you are inside. The staff is always helpful and polite. Very much a mum pop restaurant. Diner food like biscuits and gravy that are big corporations. I love this place. Feed your whole family for a good price. 10/10

I also ordered a side of hash browns, asking them to cook it with onions and tomatoes. It reminded me of the hash browns I had in Deridder, LA, and I wanted to "recreate that aroma." Let me tell you, the hash browns at Papa's Café were even better than the ones in Louisiana! The only dish I think could use improvement is the pancakes. They tasted good, but were a bit hard and rubbery, likely due to overmixing or beating the batter. The service was incredibly pleasant, and they offered us complimentary drinks. I will definitely be coming back regularly. I would have given this place five stars, but the pancakes could have been better, and the wait was a bit long. By the way, I didn't order any cookies, but I noticed they make fresh cookies on-site. I'll have to try those next time!

The service was quick and friendly, the food was affordable, and the restaurant was clean. I had the biscuits and gravy along with domestic fries. The housekeepers weren't bad; they just didn't meet my expectations—instead, they felt more like skilled potato prep cooks.

I visited this restaurant for the first time with my mother, who was in town, and it was an excellent choice. The food was delicious, and the service was both warm and friendly. The staff genuinely made us feel at home and consistently checked in to ensure we were doing alright. I truly value this kind of attentive service, as it’s rare to find. Well done! We will certainly be back.
