The food at this restaurant is excellent, but the service was extremely disappointing. I understand that it was a busy Sunday brunch, but we had to wait a long time to be served and when we were, it was done with no courtesy. The drinks and food were slammed down on the table with no smiles or conversation from the staff. It felt like we were not wanted there, which was embarrassing as I had previously enjoyed dining at this restaurant and was excited to bring a friend from out of town. On a positive note, the chef did come out to ask about our order and was very friendly.

The standout dish at this restaurant is definitely the Jerk Chicken. The portion size is generous and the dish is a beloved local favorite that has been a staple for years.

My favorite restaurant in Crouch End, as long as I can secure a table! I absolutely love their jerk chicken dish. It was a unique take on the traditional version.

Banner were very accommodating when we were looking for a table for two without reservation on a busy Saturday night. the personal was friendly and attentive. we had a really nice table and the atmosphere was lively and fun. We went for a chorizo tapas style starter from the ‘specials’ and it was perhaps the worst starter I ever had. a small whole chorizowurst beside four slightly roasted pieces of not very high quality white bread and four pieces of hard cheese that was dry and had been cleared out.
