Marlene's - Harborough

The menu at this restaurant is fantastic and I have never been disappointed when dining here. The fish was amazing, and others in my group had the lamb which was also excellent. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the service is fast and efficient. The desserts were delicious. Despite the small size of the restaurant, it does not feel cramped as it is well ventilated.

We had a family gathering at this lovely spot and at first glance, it appeared to be a cafe but had a wonderful restaurant at the back. The food was fantastic, starting with the delicious fish cake starter followed by the duck with potatoes and vegetables. The dishes were fresh and beautifully prepared. The service was fast and efficient, and there was a great selection on the menu. We were too full for dessert this time, but we will definitely be back again.

During our stay at Adria House, our host recommended Marlene's for dinner. We were pleasantly surprised by what we found! The back dining room had a funky and fun 60's (or 70's?) decor, with bed linen tablecloths and beautiful table settings. The wine and whiskey selection was great, but the food was truly delicious. Everyone in our group had such a wonderful experience that we returned two nights later, and again before leaving the country to go home. The appetizers, main courses, and desserts were all excellent and fresh. The staff was very efficient, friendly, and experienced.
