The gator sausage was awesome. This is a great BBQ joint. Loved everything we had. Not a tourist place. We love it, and will be back there soon.

Food is great service is okay! They let you get beer at the kamp which is literally 10 steps next door. So all and all a great experience.

Very good brisket, beans and coleslaw. I haven 't had any of the ribs or pork shoulder yet..that will probably happen tomorrow. It is a very family type environment. If you grew up down south, don 't worry about the BBQ sauces they describe on the website. They aren 't as vinegary as a Carolina BBQ sauce, they are sweet and the regular sauce has just a little bit of spicy hot to it. The restaurant is a little off the beaten path, the best way I could tell you how to get there is, Go to Shooters in Harahan, turn around...there it is.

We visited the restaurant and ordered the brisket with beans. My friend had the potato salad, and I chose the loaded potato. Everything was the best in town! The only downside was that there was no knife for the bride. Also, I’m not a fan of vinegar-based BBQ sauce.

The barbecue here is excellent, with just the right amount of smoky flavor. The prices are quite reasonable. While the atmosphere is no-frills, it is clean and inviting. We tried nearly everything on the menu, and everything was delicious. The baked potato is enormous, and they also offer a loaded version that tastes fantastic.
