Bidrage med feedbackThis place has really stepped up their game and we will be coming back more often! high recommend rosemary foccacia, margherita pizza, and PENNE ALLA VODKA (option to take off meat) also the espresso martini's without baileys are really tasty
My wife and I visited Impasto for the first time for a pregame dinner. Food was excellent, service was even better. Sat in the bar area and was served by Simon at the bar. He served up some excellent cocktails, including the badda boom . Started with the fresh baked Rosemary Foccacia bread, followed up by Mamma 's Meatballs app and the Pear salad. Crab cake special and old fashioned spaghetti and meatball entrees were both excellent. Closed out the night with the midnight in Milan martini and some delicious cannolis. Highly recommend this great spot for excellent food and incredibly personable staff. Extra shoutout to Zach who, although he was not our server, added enjoyment to our night !
We are longtime Hanover residents who ate at Impasto for the first time. Many of our couple friends had told us it wasn 't their favorite in town, but we decided to try it anyway to give it a fair chance--we 've always enjoyed a classic Italian meal. Therefore, we were excited for our pizza and antipasti. However, we found the food rather underwhelming. The antipasti were alright (nothing to write home about), but the pizza was really something else. We got a pizza that was nothing but (some) sauce and a ton of arugula on top--for no less than $19! It was so thin that it had holes in its body and it fell apart at the slightest touch. We were aghast. The waiter told us they had recently revised the menu. Because of this, we expected gastronomy par excellence. We found it to be quite the opposite. Our suggestion? Enjoy the excellent offerings of the rest of Hanover and White River Junction--not this impasto(r)!
New Italian place located in the quarters of the former Market Table. The good: improved acoustics, excellent focaccia, tasty Caesar Salad, friendly service. BUT very disappointing entrees. Meatballs are dense and dry, fish overcooked, and pasta had been in the pot far too long. This was a big disappointment.
Really want to like this place. The location, vibe, and the service is good. The food unfortunately was not. The salad was pretty good. Unfortunately both of our pasta entrees were average. One dish very salty and the other pretty bland. Hope they are able to step up the food game.
