Restaurant Irodion - Hannover

This restaurant has three areas, take away, self service and a la carte which we went to. Reasonable choice on the menu. We ordered moussaka, octopus and kebab which took 50 minutes to arrive during which time we ate 2 lost of salads, most of which was pickled. Salad choice limited. Extremely slow service attributed to insufficient chefs - waitress very pleasant and helpful. When the food eventually arrived it was excellent and plentiful. The lamb was very well cooked, the octopus was excellent and the moussaka better than Athens.

Very nice place to eat Greek gyros and Souvlaki. Very fast, tasty and big portions. You can also try salads and pies.

We visited on a Saturday night, and the Restaurant was heaving.....this is normally an indication of value for money. The food on offer was tasty and not too hard on one's pocket. If you have a love of Tarra & Tzatsiki- WHOOPA - POLI GALA.
