Hancock House

They where very helpful and made the reservation process easy. The staff is wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel if you're in the Hancock NY area.Rooms: 5/5

Our room was very comfy and the location was perfect for walking anywhere. The staff was excellent, and we were looking forward to eating there due to the great reviews. However, our group had mediocre sandwiches and the fried foods were overcooked and barely edible.Rooms: 5/5

Clean rooms and very helpful staff. Nice overnight stay. Folks in town are also very friendly. Quaint reasonably priced bric a brac stores

We ended up staying here on a fluke but the staff was very pleasant and helpful and made our stay a lot less stressful than when we entered. The rooms are very dated, a tubed tv from the 80 's, no refrigerator in the room, and a ceiling fan that didn 't work didn 't do much to raise our comfort level. However the rooms were clean and very quiet and for the one night we planned on staying, it was more than adequate. The restaurant and bar on the main floor is nice for a bite to eat but stop serving by nine.

Had lunch here, outstanding soup. Hand cut French fries were less than desirable. Greasy, soft and cold. Soup I will do again but not the fries.Also this meal was in the tavern not the dining room.Food drinks: Stopped for lunch only.
