Opakapaka Grill And - HANALEI

We enjoyed dinner at Opakapaka Grill and in the bar. We had a nice table on the Pacific. The service was fast and pleasant, without being rushed. I had the most delicious seafood knower. The best I've had for years! The fish (Ono) and chips were fantastic! So much better than the squid that most places serve. The fresh, hand-cut frits and cabbage salad were great! Paula enjoyed her catch of the day and we shared an excellent cheesecake! Unfortunately we have to leave Kauai in 2 days or we would soon return to Opakapaka. Note the street of Hanalei is narrow, with 5 lane bridge. Drive slowly worth the trip!

Amazing food and staff. We were impressed how well the limited staff pulled off our dinner tonight with efficiency and great attitudes. Food and drinks were excellent, and came out fast. The fried fish was some of the very best for visual, texture, and taste I’ve ever had. Burger and Brie were also very good! Highly recommend!!!

Website and online info is outdated. Food is very good! Very expensive- $25 for 2 tacos but they are quite good. Look at the recent menu pics I uploaded here. Be patient with them- they’re revamping the menu, giving the place a facelift, and they’re all really nice! Phone does not work. It’s very nice to have a restaurant option out here. Hours are correct. Cocktails are good. Would give it 5 stars if prices were more in line with Hanalei. Pleasant, mellow, and probably no wait for a table. Check it out.

The food was delicious! Our waitress was Colleen and she was the only one for the night, she absolutely killed it, she was sweet and patient and kind! All the staff were working together and did a great job! We really appreciated their hard work, thank you!

Nice views, great service and the food was very good. Fish and chips, fish tacos, and fresh catch was very tasty. Large open seating could use a few more wine options only suggestions
