Bidrage med feedbackPerfect place for a day date! We were able to sit at the bar over the search for the strip and beach area that was great! I ordered a mojito with the avocado toast. Both were excellent! The toast was crispy and buttery and had a thick layer of avocado. The salad was also very good. I loved the corn in it and will now add corn to the salads I make at home! So thankfully that we will be stopped and returned here, highly recommended!
Travellers, the purple urchin is located in the middle of downtown Hampton beach directly across from the seashell stage. The upstairs patio is roomy and gives the diner a lot of opportunity to watch the street below. The food was very good and well prepared. The Caesar salad was delicious and so was the baked seafood plate. The seafood was perfectly cooked and delicious. The sides were boring and lacking in seasoning, but it was a nice restaurant that offered more than fried seafood baskets and burgers. Check it out. We recommend.
It was so nice to eat right across from the Sea Shell stage and listen to the music while we eat with beautiful ocean views. The fried seafood was a little lack luster and could have benefited from some citrus to brighten it. Service was ok- good came fast, but we waited quite a while for our check. Glad we went, but I'll be eager to try some different spots next time.
I ordered the Shrimp Po' Boy and was very impressed with both the quality of the shrimp and the baguette. The sandwich was quite large, and while I thought there might be a bit too much spicy sauce, it didn't detract from my enjoyment of the meal. On the other hand, my partner went for chicken fingers, which I won't bother reviewing as it’s not very exciting. The service was average, likely due to being understaffed, but I understand the challenges they're facing. Overall, I recommend this restaurant if you find yourself in the area.
The food was good, though a bit pricey since it's seafood and the restaurant is centrally located. The view through the window was lovely, and the atmosphere was enjoyable. The cocktails were average in taste, but at $12 each, they were a little more expensive than anticipated. I had the lobster mac and cheese, which came with a generous portion of lobster, and the scallops were beautifully prepared. We started with the bang bang shrimp, which might have set our expectations high, as the duck dish we ordered afterward tasted somewhat bland in comparison. Overall, this is a nice restaurant to consider for a beach date.
