Bidrage med feedbackGutted the beef swarm is from the menu. But still good food and service. Cocktails are wonderful.
The restaurant was not so easy enough for dinner to get a table, although we had not booked. The first problem we had was that we didn't buy menus, had to ask a waiter after we had to wait 10 minutes to see us. You have the option of a scan menu, but we want to see a physical menu. After we got the menu, we waited another 15 odd minutes, while no one took part in our table, we then decided to order the scan option on the table. The food came out quite quickly, but the dishes were staggered, not all brought together. We went through most food before we had to flag a waiter down to find out where one of our dishes was, how we were not all served. This was an uncooked dish that took 5 minutes to get out, think without half of the dishes, we waited another 5 minutes before recognizing that the rest apparently did not come out, and since no one at the tables in our area we had to go to the counter to ask for the accompaniment to the court, which then took another 10 minutes and ask of 3 more people. The accompaniment was only bread for the dives!!! Not impressed at this point, since we had to be somewhere and could not even enjoy, let alone end the court that had not been brought out when it should have been. No excuse or care and if the food hadn't been nice, we would have been under 3 stars. Could be a good idea to make sure that Diner's attention will be devoted and if there is a problem to actually treat it in a way of time.
Byblos has penetrated the river Brisbane and takes a huge indoor and outdoor dining place with tables arranged so that you do not have to listen to the unwanted conversations of other diners! The staff was very friendly and helpful with menu suggestions. Apparently, Byblos make most of their specialties on the premises like their delicious pastries, the classics such as Chicken Sambusek, filled with marinated chicken fillets, mixed vegetables and Lebanese seven spices. Byblos also offers handmade traditional dishes such as falafel, tabouleh and hommous, all the perfect accompaniments to their grilled lamb, chicken and fish spits, served with generous portions of freshly baked flatbread. The mood here is covered and relaxed with a fully licensed bar including cocktail service and easy music entertainment on Sundays. Take the ferry to Bretts Wharf and stroll along to Byblos (500m) for a nice culinary experience. 7.6.10
Nice place on the river. Food is delicious and cocktails are amazing. The staff is friendly and efficient. Negative is that we ordered over, so I asked the nice employee for a pick-up container. I'll tell them I'll be charged $1 for a container. Wow, that'll let you down. My daughter and I spent $170 in your facility and charge for a pick-up container is sticky. I've never used a pick-up container in the strange occasion, was loaded. I informed the employee when I paid how difficult it was. Better than that.
We booked a table outside and were told that none was available when we arrived. The menu on the website doesn't mention that banquets are for the entire table only (other places mention it on their website) . Not a great value for money. Beverage are very expensive too for what they are. Very disappointing $20 cocktails, mainly full of ice.
