Spice Indian Cuisine - Hamilton

I went to this restaurant yesterday with my husband and son. We were the only ones there. Unfortunately, we will not be returning as my son and I have experienced severe stomach cramps and diarrhea since eating our meal. My husband was okay, but my son and I had the same meal. I tried calling the restaurant, but no one answered the phone.

Average food at best. Went along on a Wednesday night, completely empty except for us and 2 travelling workies, sat them directly behind us and had to endure amazing four lettered conversation for the entire meal. Try the Bombay Cottage instead.

The service at this restaurant was very poor and the food was terrible. I went with a colleague from work and he ordered a Chicken Tikka Masala, while I ordered a Chicken Tikka Garlic Chilli Masala. We both believe they served us the same curry. I ordered the spice special rice and my colleague ordered mushroom rice, but mine had peas and peppers and was oily. It was served on the main plate instead of being separate. It seemed like they just added some different ingredients to the same rice. Despite ordering chicken tikka, I found small bones in my food and it was very oily, leaving a bad aftertaste. Even the washroom was dirty, which only reinforced my negative impression of this place. I have no idea how this restaurant has 4 stars, as it was the worst service and food I have experienced at an Indian restaurant in a long time.

The service at this restaurant was terrible, the staff were rude, and the food was disgusting. It was also very overpriced. The set menu only had chicken options, and there are much better Indian restaurants nearby. I will not be returning.
