This spacious and traditional steakhouse provides outstanding meals at an affordable cost. The staff is attentive and contributes to a laid-back dining atmosphere. If you prefer a more sophisticated dining setting, opt for a higher-priced option elsewhere. The restaurant is cozy but lacks a touch of elegance. The service is top-notch, though not extraordinary, and the cuisine is superb. If there are any grievances, they should be addressed promptly, as they may stem from the individual's own preferences.

If you live in the Burlington/Hamilton/Niagara region, I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try! My partner and I dined at The Purple Pear for the first time on a Thursday evening in October. Despite the outward appearance, the food inside is a hidden gem, as others have mentioned in previous reviews. We opted for a Prix-Fixe deal and were impressed by the variety and quality of the menu selections. Victor, who has been running the restaurant for 28 years, greeted us warmly and efficiently managed the whole dining room with the help of two ladies. Our deal included a glass of wine, but we ended up upgrading to half a liter of the house red. For appetizers, we both enjoyed the excellent onion soup. My partner had the seafood linguine, while I chose the lemon pepper chicken with shrimp and scallops, and we were both pleased with our choices. The dishes were served piping hot, a pleasant surprise compared to other places where food is often served lukewarm. We finished our meal with the ice cream Profiteroles and the lemon selection for dessert, both of which we thoroughly enjoyed.

I can't believe I haven't written a review for this restaurant before. We have dined here many times and the food is consistently excellent, as is the service. The prices are very reasonable and Victor and his team deserve praise for providing such a wonderful dining experience.

Food was amazing, staff was amazing. You don't feel rushed to eat and go. The homemade bread brought as soon as you arrive was delicious. Location is rustic, but don't stop it. They won't be disappointed. You're not going to get hungry.

What a great place to dine.Don't go by the outside.The inside decor is very nice.The food here is second to none.We had a group of six and every one just loved their meals.The portions are large and delicious.I had the surf and turf and loved...it.The staff and service were great.I highly recommend this restaurant and we will return.
