Block House Winterhude - Hamburg

It was fine. Eating was okay. Unfortunately, the ambience has not addressed me. Service was very courteous and friendly. I think a good restaurant. 3 stars

Probably the first Block House in Town. Says a sign at the entrance door. And somehow, they managed to make the quality right no matter where you eat. Isn't the most innovative institution now, and the vegan doesn't get at his expense. But for the steak-connaisseur a safe choice.

I was on site with my girlfriend on Wednesday night at 7:00. We were received very friendly at the entrance. We did not reserve in advance, but we were offered a free table at the corridor for two people. The service was very friendly and busy all night as the restaurant was well visited. The ambience itself is very beautiful, the old charm of the restaurant. It's a little smaller and narrower. In the evening, a lot of guests with dogs were there, so it came to the bell and one was scared every time for a short moment. In addition, there was a lot of thunderstorm around one, constantly walking and coming to guests. The clothes stand stood 1-2 meters next to our table so there was plenty of traffic I didn't find so pleasant. All these were factors that didn't make the evening a perfect dinner. The Filet Mignon was great. As a supplement pommes or oven potato knobibrot, fresh salad and a small drink. Almost 45€ per person! Would I visit this restaurant again? Hmm, probably not. If then I choose another block house.

However, the BLOCK HOUSE in Winterhude is exactly such a place. From greeting to farewell, our visit was a pleasure for all senses. Upon arrival we were greeted by an exceptionally accommodating staff. The service was impeccable, from the friendly welcome on arrival to the attentive service throughout the entire meal. It was clear that the BLOCK HOUSE takes the well-being of its guests seriously. We were victorious and sitting outside. Despite the size of our group, we never felt neglected and enjoyed a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The menu of the BLOCK HOUSE is clear and user-friendly, making choice easier. Particularly remarkable is the fact that the restaurant offers separate menus for special events or dishes. This bears witness to the attention paid to the BLOCK HOUSE to details and customer service. As for food, it was nothing less than exquisite. I chose the T Bone Steak with herbal butter and fresh garlic baguette as well as a stuffed potato. As an appetizer there was a salad. The steak was perfectly prepared, delicate and full of taste, and the supplements complemented the main dish perfectly. The quality and presentation of the dishes were impeccable and helped make our visit an unforgettable experience. If I had to complicate an element of experience, there would be no fresh peppermint tea. Instead, a bag of fruit tea was offered to me. However, it is worth noting that this is a very small makel in an otherwise impressive experience is a mecker at extremely high level. Finally, I can say that the price performance ratio at the BLOCK HOUSE in Winterhude is excellent. The quality of food and services we have experienced has exceeded our expectations. The service personnel are all extremely nice and accommodating in this branch. The quality is always good though we were here many years ago. I find one of the most beautiful shops and with the oldest bra.
