Stortorvet Gjestgiveri Hamar

We spent our Friday evening in Hamar at the restaurant having a beautiful culinary experience. The service was warm, gentle and attentive making us feel both welcome and comfortable. The classic old styleish interior worked well as a nice frame to our four course meal. Every dish was both a delight to look at and to taste. Nice colors, tastes and textures. The waitress and the chef both payed close attention to our needs as they at the same time gave us the space we as a couple needed. A balance not always easy to find. We will return!

We really enjoyed our dinner here. It was a winemakers dinner (featuring Utiel-Requena) and the restaurant was packed to capacity, so recipes had to be kept relatively simple. Still, quality didn 't suffer--in fact, the delicious lamb dish far surpassed a similar one I had at triple-starred Lameloise recently. Friendly, attentive service, pleasant locale. In an adjoining room there is a cozy wine-bar.

Smal but exiting menu. The food is good and there is a nica and cosy atmosphere her. Thr owner is working here and are talking to the customers about the menu.

Hamar is not known for fine dining. This is one of few exceptions. Nice atmosphere, good service and excellent food.

The staff is helpfull and profesional, the atmosphere is cozy, homey and relaxing. The meny was exiting with cool takes on Norwegian classics and french cousine. We had grouse with mushrooms as starter. The mains were slow cooked wild boar with root vegetabels and deconstructed beef bourguignon. Everything were exellent and perfectly cooked. The wine cellar is wery good!! If you are wisiting hamar, this is one place you dont want to miss!
