This is the place for you! The food had clearly been microwaved (although given the temperature a little too hastily). Sat down, 2 minutes later arrived our mains. Beef goulash which was lukewarm, with barely edible chunks of beef and dumplings that despite being...sliced and flat surely would have bounced off the floor. Wow Hallstatt is an awful place for food all in. I would suggest only visiting for the day and taking a packed lunch with you. Massive rip off.

We had a very nice lunch. Food was very good and our waiter did an excellent job. It was a nice day so we sat outside along the lake with a spectacular view. The restaurant only takes cash which is very common for Hallstatt.

We had a nice early dinner at this off the main tourist path restaurant in Hallstatt. We enjoyed the traditional food, unexpected peace in a touristful place, beautiful views of the lake... it definitely helped us enjoy a quieter and more authentic Hallstatt!

The yard is very nice and quite because it's hidden away from the noise of the street,not to mantion that it's right on the bank of the lake. The food was good, I really recommend this place!
