Taco Del Mar - Halifax

We stopped in as a group of 5 for a quick burrito/taco before a sporting event, as as fast food mexican goes it was average. The service was fine, and it tasted ok, but I've certainly had better and it wasn't something I'd come back for if other choices are available.

Have tried Taco Del Mar several times over last few years. Always enjoyed my meals there. Soft taco's are very good, options are: fish (haddock) chicken, beef and pork and they all tasted great. The toppings are tasty and fresh. Guacamole is excellent. The salsa seems very salty to my taste, however still good. Prices are very reasonable ($7 for 2 tacos). Lots of options with burritos, bowls, enchiladas and nacho's. Lots of choice. Daily specials are available. The service is friendly and quick. The restaurant seems very clean including the windows, floors and table. Washroom clean also. Great location right off Spring Garden Rd on Dresden Row.

Taco Del Mar is conveniently located just off Spring Garden Road, has good friendly staff and excellent food. It seems a little expensive but the food is consistently good, the dining area clean and the staff patient and helpful. Great lunch option.

Great food served in huge portions, reasonable prices, friendly and efficient staff, clean environment. What's not to like?

We got here after a recommendation from our hotel staff and had a good dinner. The concept here is very similar to Chipotle or Subway (pick you dish, tortilla, meat, additives etc) The prices are good and so are the portions!
