Kyo Kitchen - Halifax

Kyo is such a great place. the personal is always so helpful, our server gave me a great drink recommendation, it was delicious. the food was so good and our server was so sweet.

Food and service was very good. cocktails were a little expensive.

The first time at kyo. we enjoyed the experience. the food was good. enjoyed rehearsal of the others.

We arrived at 7:55pm. Our medium plates came out at 8:20 and the ramen came out at 8:50 which was a bummer. The restaurant, albeit very small, was pretty full so I understand that the food may take longer but I thought it was a bit unreasonable. The Tonkotsu ramen was not very flavorful, just salty. The Yuzu Miso ramen was not good. On the other hand, the Panko Ebi and vegetable tempura were both delicious. The Gentou Season (cocktail) was really good. We also got a bottle of Umeshu but received the wrong bottle which had black tea in it so we couldn't sleep that night. It was jazz night (live music) when we went and it was insanely loud. The restaurant is really small and all the windows/doors were closed because of the cold weather so I'm not sure why the music was turned up so high. My friend and I were sitting at the furthest table from the performers but we were full on yelling at each other to talk. The servers are really nice but overall, it was not a positive experience.

Waited an hour and a half for entrees. Never got checked up on.
