Heng Fung - Halifax

My buddy and I have made three previous trips to this place to try out their menu. Each trip, they were closed for one reason or another. Finally, today, we were successful. The parking is free but limited. The atmosphere is hole in the wall , greasy spoon. They did not spend much money on the decor or making it look appealing. The wait staff was solo during a lunch serving, but only five tables were being served while we were there. The place reminds me of the old Fung Wahs in Halifax, before it changed hands. The service was quick and to the point, I like that. The lunch menu specials were the same as the other mentioned place. The food was not piping hot when it arrived to our tables, probably because the wait staff was solo, but the food was very good. Fung Wah good. If you are looking for very good Chinese food and don 't care to much about the look of the place, this is for you. Very good food at a very reasonably price. I 'll be back.

I was surprised of how good the food is. But what made my visit outstanding was my server. She was such a delight and a hottie .I would return .

I ordered delivery from this restaurant and was so impressed that I also left a positive review on Yelp. Both my boyfriend and I were pleasantly surprised by the quality of each dish. We are not easily impressed, but the giant chicken balls with great sweet and sour sauce, memorable chow mein, delicious Szechuan pork, and BBQ pork rice noodles were all outstanding.

My husband and I love meeting our friends at Heng Fung when we are craving delicious Chinese food. The portions are always large and filling, and we feel truly welcomed by the friendly staff every time we visit.

The service at this restaurant was fast, friendly, and polite. The food was hot, delicious, and served in generous portions. Overall, it was a great value for the money, with an extensive menu to choose from.
