Bidrage med feedbackIf you go to oahu, you have to go to a garnel car. there are a few, but giovannis is a real sign! we tried the garnels at the same time on another lkw and liked them both alike. it is a fun experience to her hands all fat and garlicky!
We were in a waiting queue for an hour and waited for about a 1/2 hour to discover that eating in giovanni garnelen lkw in north shore is enormously overrated. one of their inscription dishes had only cooked garlic and steamed rice. each home can cook for less than $5. we were quite surprised at the hype over this garnel car. the shrimp truck next to him was much better in taste and service, but cannot remember his name. we have cost a lot of garnel lkws around hawaii and giovanni’s is down on the list. a native told us that they changed their recipe and everything is bred and mass produced. I'm sorry. giovanni can't recommend them. grahame. sydney, nsw.
Very good garnel garlic option was extremely tasty lemon butter option was relatiw neutral, some salt could help to keep very nice to have a nice lunch, but only cash is accepted. the prices are about $16 per serving
Giovanni’s shrimp scampi is worth waiting (which is not even so bad). the line seems intimidating, but moves pretty fast. the garlic campi sauce was so good, especially when it soaked into the rice. they also get a good amount of garnel for the price. You have to peel the garnels yourself, so get ready to become a little creepy!
Very disappointing experience. I'll start with the only good thing. The sauce is tasty. That's it. The shrimp isn't cleaned so you have to take it out of the shell yourself. The rice was flavorless and mushy. It's right next to 2 garbage cans, so you might have to fight your way through your meal with the bugs (I did). It's a long line to order and another to get your food. Finally, it's not the best shrimp I ever tasted. I've had better, and for what they put you through, I would have expected the best.
