Bidrage med feedbackI certainly wish that I could have given this place more stars, but I couldn't. Here are the problems that you may encounter on your visit to Pacific Ocean Buffet (Hagerstown, MD). 1) Food temps below safe levels. 2) A horrible food selection which includes a. Chicken and shrimp in a white sauce. b. The poorest selection of beef. You know the kind that develops bumps on it when you cook it . c. Plain salmon. Yup. just boiled salmon. No seasoning at all. d. Dumplings that are encased in over cooked dough so as to have the texture of rubber. e. Incredibly dry chicken on a stick. 3) A horrible staff that doesn't want to listen when there is a problem. Don't even try to ask for a manager. They WILL NOT get one to come out and speak with you. And all of this for the low low price of $10.00. Today was the last of my 4 visits. I actually gave them 4 tries. Every time I was met with disappointment. Do not go to this buffet. For the same price you can go to other more pleasing buffets.
It's fine for a buffet, but it is a Chinese buffet, so the food is going to be edible, but nothing to write home about. The price is good, and you never have an empty glass of drink. Overall it was a good experience.
When I want Chinese food, I like buffet style. Pacific Ocean attracts me with 10% off coupons and they are already reasonably priced. I hit the lunch buffet to avoid the crab legs because I'd eat nothing else. I like their offerings of shellfish, crawdads, fried and steamed dumplings, teriyaki chicken, and at least one eggroll. The sushi is a bit plain and has more rice than fish but I like it. Being a buffet, it suffers if the food doesn't have a fast turn over. I've had it cool and dry, and I've had it warmer and moist. You'll not often find it really hot.
