Dishoom Shoreditch - Hackney

Despite waiting about an hour just over for a table it was very much worth it (And also to be expected on a Saturday night at a restaurant that does not allow advance bookings). My friends had told me multiple times about trying Dishoom but I never had why did I not listen to them ! The food was great, perfectly authentic, tasty and served in a way that made you feel you were getting the Indian culture. The restaurant layout was also nice, and comfortable. Lots of food and drinks options...suitable for all! Quality was top making the price slightly higher than expected, but nonetheless, worthwhile.

In every Dishoom I go the service is amazing! We had a lovely waitress who was genuine, knew her stuff and was just so on it! My husband has an allergy to chilli but she went through the whole menu and was so knowledgeable and helpful. Our Bacon naan was exceptional, great vibe to the restaurant as busy and all the staff are so welcoming and friendly. It’s rare these days to get such consistent excellent service and I don’t know Dishoom do it but other hospitality venues look learn!

Excellent food, friendly and attentive staff. Extensive menu, enough to choose form for both meat eaters and vegetarians. The Broccoli dish is out of this world and Mango lassi a must

The BEST breakfast I’ve ever had. Me and my 2 friends from work booked a table for breakfast at 08:00 to try their breakfast menu… I’ve had the dinner menu so my expectations were high. The bacon naan is SENSATIONAL- I’ve been talking about it all day. The house chai was to die for seemed bottomless which was an added bonus. We were initially concerned about being able to finish early enough to walk to our office 20 mins away for when we start at 09:00 but the service and food was so quick, and still hot that we were out of there by 08:30! What a bonus! We’ll be back!
