Bidrage med feedbackWe visited at the new location in the Macdonald resort. The food was wonderful, the hospitality outstanding and the new restaurant was beautiful
The restaurant has relocated to Plas Talgarth in Pennal (near Machynlleth). I had three meals here throughout the week and found the authentic Indian curry to be freshly made to order. The dishes are mostly spiced but not overly hot, with some hotter options available. The focus is on incredible flavor. There are also English/pub classics available, such as the fish that my grandmother loved, and children's options to keep the little ones happy. The bar staff are friendly, with some members staying on from the previous franchise. The family who runs the restaurant is hands-on and welcoming. Raj even opened the pub early for a coronation celebration and mentioned the possibility of BBQs during the summer. I suggested some ideas for the summer months, such as opening the bar during the daytime when the outdoor pool is open so parents can watch their children from the terrace. Offering free refills for kids' soft drinks could also be a popular move on hot summer days. It would be fantastic to have an on-resort takeaway option, even if it's for collection only. Hosting events like wine tasting or curry tasting could attract new customers, and karaoke and pub quiz nights could help fill the bar.
My experience with the takeout from this restaurant was absolutely amazing! The portion sizes were generous and the food was cooked to perfection, it was so delicious. We placed our order through text and they notified us when it was almost ready, which was very convenient. While the preparation time was longer than expected, the quality of the food was definitely worth the wait. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Recently, my family and I dined at this restaurant and we were extremely impressed with the food, service, and presentation. All of the staff members were polite and friendly.
I rarely write reviews but I felt like I should on this occasion as I am unsure how this Indian has such high reviews. The food here was so bizarre, the onion bahjis were a bag of scraps, the masala was watery and the chicken slimy and the Peshwari naan bread was sticky and almost like a pancake in texture. I really had high hopes after reading the reviews and with the menu prices I hoped for great quality food. Sadly it was the most disappointing Indian I have tried and I certainly wouldn't be ordering again if I was to return to the area.
