Bidrage med feedbackThe food was delicious and the service was great. The restaurant was very busy at noon, but our group of 8 was seated right away. We're not sure if they take reservations. We ordered a variety of dishes including kartoffel, bacon and cranberry sandwich, ham and cheese panini, curry with chips, soup and bread, chicken nuggets, and cheese pizza. Everything was served hot and tasted amazing. We had a table with a view of the sea, and the children were able to go down to the beach after our meal.
I must say that all the staff were fantastic in helping us secure a table with a view of the sunset. Many thanks for the great dining experience. It was one of the best evenings spent on the coast.
The staff were efficient, polite, attentive, and accommodating. They made sure we were satisfied, even noticing when we left some food on our plates due to generous portions. The food was delicious and the dining room was elegant and clean. The terrace with a beach view was perfect for pre-dinner drinks, and the sea view from inside was breathtaking.
Words cannot describe how unhappy our experience was. from the moment in which they go to the moment in which they go, each individual aspekt of the experience from service to the quality of the food was below par. I sent back food that was completely unusable. and honestly, I would have been embarrassed to serve a paying customer, I had eaten less than a mouthful of the mentioned food, and I explained the waitress when they came to delete the table (as this was the first and only opportunity to speak with a worker), that the hem would not have had yellow in color, dry, I paid the bill and after I had to ask for an acknowledgement after the waitress tried to leave without giving me a copy, I noticed that the food I had sent back had not been taken off, so I approached the same waitress and politely questioned why it had remained. the answer that I got was “you can not only send food back because they don’t like it and then don’t pay”. that was absolutely not the case, and I was shocked how rude the answer was. I then went on to talk to the manager, and it is quite clear who has “trained the employees in customer services. I've never met such a gracious, rude and feminine man. he accused me of lying about eating and what I said to the waitress, he told me to read the menu right next time. I have worked for 8 years in the hospitality industry and was both in the food and drink side in senior role, if I had ever spoken to a customer, as I would have spoken, I would have been bagged off site. While waiting for my refund, all of my fellow workers stood beside me and began to speak in wholsh and look at me all the time, I can honestly say that if I had a welsh accent, I would not have treated as I was. the best part was that when I finally got a refund, I was briefly changed!
The food served at Ty Newydd Aberdaron was tasty and good value for money. The younger staff were friendly and efficient. Unfortunately we were served by an older female waitress who was rude and unfriendly. It was like being in an episode of Fawlty Towers....Lots of eye rolling and tutting when taking our order. She refused to give us any time between mains and dessert and stood by our table until we ordered pudding. Our bill was presented whilst our dessert crockery was being cleared although we hadn’t requested it. No offer of further drinks or coffee. I have no idea why we were treated this way but we were celebrating two birthdays and a new job and the evening was spoilt by one individual. Completely unacceptable behaviour and we will never return although we are relatively local.
