Wintzell's Oyster House - Guntersville

I hate to say too many good things about this place, but it has the best value and fresh oysters in North Alabama!

I had recently been to the beach and couldn’t get fried oysters off the brain. Wintzells was the only place I could think of close by that served them. I was not disappointed. Perfectly fried now I can’t get wintzells off my mind. Thank goodness I’m heading backing beach next week but at least I know where to get my oyster fix locally now. Parking: Plenty of parking. Shouldn’t have problems even on the busiest days

Came for lunch, service was fast, and food was fresh and delicious! I had the fish basket with fries.

The restaurant was a bit cool, so we relocated to the patio with a lovely lake and setting sun view. Our waiter wasn't working the patio, but received permission to continue our service there uninterrupted. Parking: There's not a ton of parking, but the restaurant isn't so large that there isn't enough parking. Wheelchair accessibility: It's a ground floor establishment with plenty of room inside or on the patio.

We started with the oyster sampler, which was better than a lot that I've had at other places. All of the entrees were fresh and cooked well. I'll definitely return the next time I'm in the area. It's right on the water which is another nice feature.
