Castillo De Izan - Gumiel de Izan

Kitschy doesn't begin to describe this spot, from the fake castle to the clashing colors of the chairs and the interior, to the red and white tiles on the floor, and coats of arms, everything screams fake touristy. They do have a decent menu and the food is ok, not great. The service is capable and if you are familiar with American cafeterias is pretty comparable. This is like a slice of Disney World gone mad in the middle of Castilla.

We stopped here for lunch on our way down to Peñafiel. The service was very good and so was the food. The reason we stopped is because we had seen this place on youtube and wanted to see the woodwork they created to decorate the ceilings. The place inside is beautiful. Very impressive.

Entorno excelente. Carta variada y los platos exquisitos. Recomiendo el lechazo, las croquetas y los postres caseros. El personal muy profesional y cercano.

Muy buena atención y amabilidad del personal en todo momento, el lugar es precioso para pasar el día.
