Bidrage med feedbackGreat little place to eat. Layout is a little confusing. Go to counter to order and seat. Large groups were in there so seating was tight. She got the Eagle loop English muffin, I got mouse tail sandwich. We also got a order of French toast which is awesome. Food was great, would definitely return.Food: 5/5
While staying at the Lodge at Gulf State Park, we took full advantage of the beautiful bike trails — 28 miles of them! — to start every day. One morning we decided to end our ride with breakfast at the Woodside Grill. It’s quite unique — feels rustic, but very clean. They have a cool (temperature) inside where you place your order and get your drinks. You can sit inside too, but we were sweaty from our bike ride (this was a hot July day) and opted to sit on their covered and shaded screened porch with fans moving the air. It felt great at 9:30 a.m. They also have a nice large outdoor seating area with those patio lights that I am sure is perfect for evenings. I saw some corn hole boards, badminton nets and other games too. The food was very good — we have promised to come back for dinner and drinks one night — they have live music many nights as well. If you find yourself in Gulf Shores, you need to check this place out! You can drive or be adventurous and take your bike.Kid friendliness: Lots of families were here seemed to be a few weddings going on and so Monday morning had a lot of family visitors at Woodside Grill.
What a gem! We’re a family of 6 and we were looking for a somewhat calm environment for a Thursday lunch. As mentioned in other reviews, the staff are very friendly, we spent a few minutes looking at the menu and didn’t feel rushed by the kind employee at the register. There’s an indoor air conditioned area and covered outdoor seating. We ordered a few kids meals, Mac n cheese, the brisket sandwich and the club sandwich. Food came out within 10 minutes. My wife and I ended up sharing sandwiches because they were both great. The chips are tasty, too.It wasn’t too busy and my kids were able to play the outside games after we ate. This is exactly what we were looking for, a break from the bustling and sweaty tourist traps. We’ll be back.Update: we returned a few days later and tried the blacked tuna tacos. My wife is very picky about fish and thought they were delicious.
Breakfast is over-the-top amazing! They will cook any of their items to order (extra-crispy bacon!! The staff gives immediate attention to any concern. Ketchup was low. They refilled immediately and then brought us our own to our table. Place was clean, inviting, comfortable and offers indoor and outdoor seating. Do NOT skip breakfast at this place!
I thoroughly enjoyed dining at this restaurant. The staff was incredibly friendly and the service was outstanding. My husband ordered a brisket sandwich that was delicious, and my son, who raved about the mac and cheese with shrimp, had an opportunity to meet the chef. He was absolutely thrilled. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich that was pretty good but I could hardly eat it for trying to help my son eat all of his mac and cheese. If you’re in the Gulf Shores area, check this place out. It’s reasonably priced (compared to the restaurants directly on the beach) and they have ample parking. I will be returning on my next trip for sure.
