The Guildford Hotel

Had never been to Guildford Hotel before so decided to give it a shot. The pub was packed but we were showed to a table by a very welcoming staff member. The pub is tastefully decorated with the history of the pub on their menu if your interested. We both had a peppercorn and brisket pie. The portion was huge and it was delicious. The service we received was outstanding. Would definitely return.

Great spot for lunch on a sunday with the family. i just wish there was a kids area. but the hubby loved the slow cooked meats and beers

Birthday drinks on the balcony. Cold beers and massive food portions left everyone satisfied. I would love to do a pit master session next time I'm around. Great friendly service.

We haven't been back to this hotel for a meal for a while and thought it a idea to visit again. This was a great choice. Firstly the staff here are amazing. The young lady who initially attended to us was so friendly, chirpy and helpful that she couldnt be faulted. Great start. We had reserved a table but 2 guests cancelled the day prior. No problems at all. The service at the bar was no different despite the fact they were busy. We decided upon the share menu rather than meals and weren't disapointed. We enjoyed a serve of buttermilk chicken, chicken katsu bao buns with an order of chips. Very pleasant. Without a doubt this pub has lots of charector and charm and an enjoyable venue to enjoy company with friends. The only drawback was the constant cigarette smoke that was constantly drifting in through the open outside seating area. It's very annoying to have to try and eat through second hand smoke and the this is the only reason I am likely not to visit again any time soon. Hopefully management will address this and move smoking to an area that won't impact upon other diners.

Beautifully renovated hotel with good parking. Friday lunch for 4. Very busy. Wait staff seemed preoccupied. Good arrived within half an hour. My buyer was cold. Friends pie hot. Both tasty.
