Bidrage med feedbackMy family and I drove an hour and a half just to try this place out since we love doing new places and I've recently become vegan. My boyfriend and son eat meat. When we got there there wasn't a place to sit without squishing and the servers were extremely unaccommodating. We had never looked at the menu and wanted some recommendations which she didn't care to give, very bland with me. I was so excited to go there, just to be shot down right away with her unfriendliness. Once we got our food which came to $64 for 3 people with no drinks - everyone liked the flavours in their burgers. It was really good. However, the bread's shape makes them really frustrating to eat and crumbly. They gave my son the wrong patty as well which he didn't like. The poutine was good although the "cheese" was a little sweet for cheese and you could taste the difference. I definitely wouldn't go back - no one checked up on us or asked if we liked our food or anything. Great concept, terrible follow-through.
I was very excited to try this place. A completely vegan burger place with more than burgers. There are four types of patties, and these are not your fake meat burgers. You will Tate the difference between these patties and they do not taste like meat. The bacun and vegan cheese should be tried as they do taste somewhat like their real counterparts. I would recommend a plain burger perhaps with bacun and cheese, just to appreciate the flavours. Once you add a sauce, it will hide some of the flavours, and your burger will get messy. The burgers are quite filling. Appetizers and sides are to be shared with two or three people if you want a shot at eating at least half of your burger. Be prepared to take half of it home if you splitting a side or an appetizer. Don't like burgers or their burgers. You will find many options on the menu. I won't promise that your meat-loving friends will enjoy the food, but if you want a wide variety of vegan options, you should give Boon Burger a try. It is not a low-cost burger place though. Price-wise it is closed to The Works than to Harvey's.
Granddaughter is vegan so we humored her. Like how bad can it be? Great selection of burgers and pizza. ALL four of us raved about our respective choices. Worth a visit and you will be pleasantly dated.
Great vegan food. I would recommend the Mexican or the jalapeño inferno! Both great! The chills cheese fries are also really tasty! Nice and friendly staff and quick service of our food. Love the added touch of giving your table an animal instead of a number!
My friend I came for dinner on a Sunday night. We went up to the counter to order and then got the last table. It was pretty busy, and there is limited seating. We both ordered the Mexican burger with fries. It was a huge burger and delicious! Fries were tasty and we liked the juice as well. Very filling. Cost $35 for both meals. If I lived in Guelph I'd be coming back to try all the burgers!!
