Bidrage med feedbackThe environment and landscape is fantastic, but the food wine menu of €65 was very disappointing. eating was nice enough, but not worth the price. had to send a head back, which was cold, which was simply reheated and consumed half. we also said that they had run from white wine, which should be part of the set menu. the personal was not helpful either. as a scandal as the imagination is breathtaking.
Is located in the castle le bouis in the middle of the weinberge, this place has a cozy, rustic atmosphere and an amazing view over the annoying to the sea side. we had a group dinner for 20 people there, there were organizational problems, although the event. was known months in advance. among all guests, the opinions about eating were different. during oysters and fine meat plates were great as appetizer and all steaks were great, not everyone was happy with lambs (too fat) and fish (3 out of 5 not cooked enough). the goats were amazing. the owners/arms were very friendly, but I have a feeling that they could have done more (order another service person,) know that our and another group comes. it had long waiting times, but as a group we did not notice so much, enjoy our time together. To sum up, it is definitely for the place and to come out. then they could be happy with eating or not, just prepare themselves mentally for long service times.
Beautiful place really special. Food was great and service attentive but it was a bit slow even though they had plenty of staff. But worth it for the venue.
So, starting with the positives....the setting is beautiful. Rustic building with a large terrace overlooking open fields. Lovely in the early evening when the sun is going down. The wine on offer is lovely and as a result we decided to return for a meal...on a different evening. The food itself was very good, however the service was unbearably slow. We waited a minimum of 40mins between courses, eventually when it came to the bill we went inside and paid rather than wait any longer. A real shame as they have a lovely restaurant, with good food and great wine. If the service was a little quicker this would be a really enjoyable dining experience
This must be my favourite place to eat, as not only is it set in beautiful surroundings , the wine is fabulous. We have taken family and friends here and have never been disappointed. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, the service is good although...a little slow. We love it here and would highly recommend it. It is possible to visit and just have a drink on the fabulous terrace I would recommend this as it gives you a good idea of the mennu and what to expect. There is also a cave so you do a spot of wine tasting before your meal.
